The 4K digital restoration project, wet window, RGB progressive, The 16-bit edition of Glauber Rocha's films inaugurates a new phase in the digital preservation and restoration of Brazilian audiovisual archives. The films featured are: História do Brasil, 1974, cor, 166 min.; Amazonas, Amazonas, 1966, cor, 15 min.; and Di, Glauber, 1973, 17 min.
These films urgently needed restoration for the digital preservation of their originals and distribution in theaters, streaming, and Blu-ray..
História do Brasil was never released in Brazil and was produced in Cuba by ICAIC, the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry, during the director's exile alongside Marcos Medeiros, between 1971 and 1973.
