sinopse
Glauber Rocha’s first color film, shot between Deus e o Diabo na Terra do Sol and Terra em Transe. It was commissioned to be a classic documentary about the natural beauty and richness of the Amazon region, but it still retains Glauberian characteristics, such as the lyrical rapture of the shots and the director’s nationalist concerns, revealed in the presence of people at work, urban sequences, producers, and merchandise.
